What steps would I take for getting a 1975 Bronco back up and running?

I got a 1975 Ford Bronco from my Uncle but it has not been started in 7+ years. The engine looks clean but obviously the battery is dead although it looks very new as well. If I charge or replace the battery, what other steps would I take to start it so I can have the rest of it looked at?
