What are good ways to excercise my brain and sharpen my memory/thinking?

i read that playing word games or crosswords or word jumbles help, i heard that excercise helps, i know sleep helps, and i read that 1 cup of blueberries are good for the brain. i hate blueberries, is there some other fruit i can use? what else can i do?
