Why do some people think that Catholicism is not a form of Christianity?

Some Protestant sects have adopted an extremely narrow view of Christianity and, contrary to what the Bible says about salvation, teach that only those who follow their own doctrine can be considered Christians. Many of them also spread deliberate lies about what Catholics practice and believe.
